This is a detailed walk-through of all the steps that a typical Global AutoTrading client has to accomplish to open an account with Interactive Brokers. There's a lot of steps but each step is pretty simple (i.e., it's not as bad as it looks). You might find it helpful to quickly look at all the steps to make sure you have all the information handy, so that you can coast through the application.

One of the benefits of these electronic applications is that you'll most likely know right away if you've forgotten to "sign" something or entered some wrong information (some little red error message will pop-up on the page). You can thus fix it right away and move on with the application.

This walk-through can be printed all at once by clicking on the "print" link in the upper right or by selecting "all pages" from the table of content, and then printing that long page.

Some pages you encounter might be different depending on your country, but most steps should be the same. If you find that the instructions are confusing or incomplete, or you have suggestions for how to improve this guide, please let Global AutoTrading know. Of course, you should use your own information when filling up the fields.

The first step in the account opening process is to... begin the account application. You might have received an email like the one below, or you might have clicked the link directly from our open an account page. It is best to start the account application by using the link from our web site or email, as it will save you a few steps later on, and we can track your progress and help out if you need it.
